Dr. Cliff Chen DDS, MS, is a board-certified periodontist at DENTAL NV, STERLING & MY FACE MY SMILE, VA. Dr. Chen is here to educate you on the the term “periodontics”, in which, refers to the dental specialty that pertains to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease that affects the gums and jawbone. The gum tissues serve to surround and support the teeth and the underlying jawbone anchors teeth firmly in place. As an experienced periodontist, Dr. Chen has completed several years of extra dental training and is here to help in maintaining the function, health, aesthetics of the jawbone, and tissues.
Dr. Chen was born in the United States and raised in Taipei, Taiwan where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors in 2006. Dr. Chen then moved to the States and earned his Master of Science and specialty in periodontics from Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in 2013. Dr. Chen is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and is board-certified. His is fluent in English, mandarin, Japanese, and Taiwanese.
As an experienced periodontist, Dr. Chen believes in all aspects of dental implant procedures, which can restore functionality to the mouth when teeth have been affected by periodontitis. Dr. Chen will be more than happy to advise you on effective cleaning methods and treatment options.
During his free time, he enjoys playing golf, running, camping, and traveling with his family. Dr. Chen says, "CHEERS" to many years of meeting you and assisting you with any periodontal and implant needs.
